Resia, formerly known as AHS Residential, will be establishing a manufacturing operation in Bay County, Florida

Panama City, Florida – (June 14, 2022) – The Bay Economic Development Alliance, an agent of the Bay County Commission (Bay EDA), announced today that Resia, formerly known as AHS Residential, will be establishing a manufacturing operation in Bay County, Florida.  Resia headquartered in Miami, Florida, is an award-winning, vertically integrated real estate company that specializes in developing, building, and managing high-quality multifamily communities across the United States. Resia has a property management team, a land acquisition division, and in-house design and construction team that includes a full staff of architects, engineers, and project managers. Based in South Florida, Resia currently has more than 5,000 units under development in fast-growing metros in Florida, Texas, Georgia, and has plans for Colorado, D.C., and Arizona. The company intends to deliver 8,000 new apartment units annually by 2025. A key to Resia’s accelerated growth is its modular construction approach, which enables the company to build apartment communities 30 to 40 percent faster than traditional methods.

President and CEO of Resia. “Our new facility will enable us to deliver on that mission while creating high skilled jobs.” For this manufacturing operation in Bay County, Resia will be building a 200,000sf state of the art facility.  The company is in negotiations to build the factory on a site in VentureCrossings Enterprise Centre. The company will make a capital investment of more than $40M and will create 200 new jobs in Bay County.

This project was made possible through the combined efforts of Bay EDA, Bay County Board of County Commissioners, Florida’s Great Northwest, Triumph Gulf Coast Fund, University of West Florida – “Industry Resilience and Diversification Fund” and CareerSource Gulf Coast. The Bay County Commission has been intimately involved with the progression of this project. Bay County Commissioner, Bill Dozier, stated, “Resia will be an excellent company in Bay County. This project will be very impactful for our community by bringing manufacturing jobs to one of our areas of focused growth within the County. The project will be located in a premier business park near our incredible new airport and will employ 200 people in a growing area of Bay County, Florida.”
